As you approach from the 80 acre parking lot, you see the massive castle and great gatehouse on the manorial lands, just as you go through the village with its merchants, craftsman and artisans.
The portal to a unique and wonderful world of the middle ages. Past this gatehouse, the castle lies just beyond. Surrounding the the entry and town are the manorial lands with the various crops and animals held by the lord of the manor.
