VolunteersWelcome to the Colorado Medieval Festival's Volunteer Coordination Center Online. As with any effort of this kind, Volunteers are the hub that make wheel go 'round, and this online area is dedicated to ensuring that our Volunteers are informed and happy, as well as offering a contact venue for those who would like to help. Read through the contents below and contact us with any questions! Making the Colorado Medieval Festival Happen...Our volunteers are the very backbone of this organization and are definitely what make it a success. Many volunteers prefer to work behind the scenes, playing a vital role to keep the organization running smoothly. Currently there are many volunteers working on the success of the this new festival. People are still needed to fill roles as Stage Managers, Parking Attendants, Box Office, and in the Children's World. These contributions are crucial to the Festival. Still other volunteers fill a number of roles onsite year round, working on Construction, Grounds Design and Development, Landscaping, and Maintenance. Entertainment positions remain open for the current cast. Guilds are being developed for Rogues, Kings Court, Rue inspiration, Sentries, and more. See our Performance Guilds page for more information. If you are interested in being in the public eye without developing a character, our vendors are looking for people to work for them during the Festival. Please let us know if you want to be contacted for one of these positions. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, (name) today and let us know about your interest in making this Festival a success! Musicians and other stage and lane performers are needed as well. Come pitch it to our Entertainment Department. Formal auditions will be arranged. Additional Information for Our Volunteers:Along with participating in a closely knit, community conscious, educational organization; our volunteers earn the added benefits of historical instruction, guidance, and workshops on character development, costuming assistance, period speech and manners, interaction with patrons, dance lessons, and more at our rehearsals. One of our primary goals is to build a core group of performers to take part throughout the year in the activities sponsored by and for Medieval World, USA and the Colorado Medieval Festival. There are opportunities to explore various periods of history for school programs and other special events. Please contact our Special Events Coordinator (name) for more information on assisting in any of our events. Past Events:Upcoming Events:
Message Board:Please keep watching the Message Board for updates and
announcements (under construction). The Message Board contains the most
up-to-date information regarding requests for volunteers and our requirements
for special events outside of the Festival. |
